The Seattle Public Theater (SPT) at the Green Lake Bathhouse (7312 West Green Lake Dr N) invites you to a free teen ensemble production of Anon(ymous) by Naomi Iizuka. The play is a retelling of The Odyssey. Seattle Public Theater asks City Council to approve funding for the Green Lake Bathhouse
On September 21, 2011, Mayor Mike McGinn announced that his 2012 Proposed Budget would include funding for a new roof at the Green Lake Bathhouse (7312 West Green Lake Dr N), a historic building that the city leases to the Seattle Public Theater (SPT). Earlier this month, SPT unveiled new seats which were the product of a fundraising campaign put on by the theater. “Dead Man Walking” author Sister Helen Prejean to speak at Bishop Blanchet High School
Sister Helen Prejean will be speaking at Bishop Blanchet High School (8200 Wallingford Ave N) tomorrow (Friday, Sept. 30, 2011) at 9:40 a.m. The community is invited to attend the event in the school’s Ernie Rose Gymnasium. Sister Helen is an internationally-acclaimed human rights activist and the author of Dead Man Walking: An Eyewitness Account Of The Death Penalty In The United States. “Dead Man Walking” is Bishop Blanchet’s fall play.
