Free juicing demonstration and samples offered by Village Cove

Village Cove, a retirement community which will soon be built in east Green Lake, is offering a free ”Healthy Juice Drinks” lecture on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. in the lower level of The Hearthstone (6720 E Green Lake Way N). Hearthstone residents share life stories, longevity advice

Last week, I had the chance to interview four people in (or almost in) their 90s, to talk about their lives and to find out if they had any advice for people who would like to live as long as they have. Green Lake neighbors invited to “Night Out” Block Party at The Hearthstone

National Night Out Against Crime will be Tuesday, August 2, 2011. Green Lake neighbors traditionally gather at block parties during the yearly event. The Western and Central Washington State Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association will be holding a “Memory Matters” presentation at the The Hearthstone Chapel (6720 E Green Lake Way N) on Thursday (July 21, 2011), 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. “Memory Matters” uses the latest research to address the risk factors for Alzheimer’s disease and memory disorders.
