FROGBOX will be collecting shoes for Redeeming Soles at the 2012 Love ‘em or Leave ‘em Valentine’s Day Dash at Green Lake Park. The 5K run/walk will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012. New and used shoes of any kind will be accepted at the FROGBOX booth beginning at 8 a.m. The booth, which will be on the west side of Green Lake, can be found by looking for stacks of big green boxes. 2012 Love ‘em or Leave ‘em Valentine’s Day Dash at Green Lake Park
Pro-Motion Events, Inc. has announced that the 2012 Love ‘em or Leave ‘em Valentine’s Day Dash at Green Lake Park will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012. This year’s event will support the Green Lake Chamber of Commerce. This will be the seventh year that the 5K run/walk is held at Green Lake. Over 3,300 people are expected to participate. The event includes a free kids’ dash for kids aged 10 and under and a post-race festival that includes free food, onsite exhibitors, an awards ceremony and a costume contest. Barefoot and minimalist running group meets weekly at Green Lake Park

The meetup group is organized by Josh Leeger, a personal trainer, barefoot running enthusiast and co-author of The Best Book On How To Barefoot Run. 1,500+ runners expected at Green Lake Park this Sunday
More than 1,500 runners are expected at Green Lake Park this Sunday (Nov. 20, 2011) for the Green Lake Gobble & Mashed Potato Munch Off. The event begins at 9:10 a.m. with a free Kids Dash, followed by a 5K run/walk at 9:30 a.m. The race course can be viewed here.
