We received this thoughtful note from someone who wishes to be identified as simply “a friend of Spanish Lessons Guy“: I’m a friend of the Spanish Lessons guy and apparently people have been worried because they haven’t seen him in quite a while. He’s doing fine. He’s out of town in a warmer climate until April, at which point he will be back perambulating around the lake and giving lessons. We miss you, Leonardo!

Local heroes Matt, Ellen, and Ella Kowalczyk featured on KOMO
Climb for Kids, a local nonprofit which raises money for fetal syndrome support organizations, was recently featured on KOMO: We first met Climb for Kids founder Matt Kowalczyk at Cafe Lulu (6417 Latona Ave NE), which hosted a fundraiser for the organization last spring. Matt and his wife (and Climb for Kids co-founder) Ellen are regulars at Cafe Lulu. You may also find them hanging out at Green Lake with their daughter Ella. If you see them around, be sure to say hi and congratulate these local heroes for a job well done.

We flagged down Spanish Lessons Guy (a.k.a. Leonardo) at the lake today and asked him if he’s found a new place yet.
