News from Cafe Bonjour
Some news from Cafe Bonjour (7119 Woodlawn Ave NE): We have got our beer and wine license and will starting opening 9am-9pm daily starting Feb. 11. 2012. We added pasta to the menu starting at $7.95 , with our house made basil tomato sauce, creamy Alfredo or Creamy Pesto and Chicken. Crepes and panini are served all day. Imported and Washington wines are available by glass. On Valentine’s Day, we offer complementary suprivised kids play, so the parents can have a nice dinner at our cafe. Share your suggestions regarding the Green Lake Community Center Toddler Play Center
Staff at the Green Lake Community Center (7201 E Green Lake Dr N) may soon be renovating the facility’s Toddler Play Center. Maria Yamaguchi is currently working on different room models and is soliciting feedback from families and caregivers. Do you have suggestions or ideas that she can use? Please email her at Maria.Yamaguchi [at] seattle.gov. The Green Lake Community Center Toddler Play Center is available to children aged 6 months – 5 years and their caregivers. Its regular operating hours are Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. It is available for rent on Saturdays and Sundays.
Kindergarten tours at Green Lake Elementary School

Elementary school boundaries to change in north Seattle
The Seattle School Board has approved a short-term capacity management plan that addresses Seattle Public Schools’ enrollment growth. The School Board approved the plan with a 7-0 vote last night (Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012). It was developed following input from the Facilities and Capital Management Advisory Committee. Input was also considered from about 300 attendees at six community meetings and about 550 written comments. The plan includes boundary adjustments to John Stanford International School (4057 5 Ave NE), B.F. Day Elementary School (3921 Linden Ave N) and McDonald Elementary School (temporarily located at 4400 Interlake Ave N).
