Construction begins at Green Lake Village

Construction work at the former Vitamilk Dairy site, a three-acre empty lot of land often referred to by locals as “The Big Hole,” has begun. The property, located between Woodlawn Ave NE, NE 71st St, 5th Ave NE and NE 72nd St, has been a vacant pit for for four years. A large mixed-use development called “Green Lake Village” is being bult on the site. The expected opening date is Spring 2014. Construction to begin this winter at former Vitamilk site, plans include new PCC

Construction is finally moving forward at the former Vitamilk Dairy site, and the new building should be open by late 2013. The east Green Lake property, frequently referred to by locals as “The Big Hole,” has been a vacant pit since development was stalled three years ago. Located between Woodlawn Ave NE, NE 71st St, 5th Ave NE, and NE 72nd St, the site covers more than three acres of land.
