All are welcome at tonight’s Green Lake Community Council meeting (Sept. 14, 2011), 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., at The Hearthstone (6720 East Green Lake Way N). Meeting topics include Seattle City Light’s Community Solar Project, the effects of budget cuts on the Green Lake Small Craft Center, a potential Small and Simple Projects Fund grant, and possible changes in Board structure and elections at the Green Lake Community Council. All are welcome at the next Green Lake Community Council meeting. The meeting will be this Wednesday (July 13, 2011), 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., at The Hearthstone (6720 East Green Lake Way N). Seattle City Councilmember Bruce Harrell and Seattle School Board Member Sherry Carr are scheduled to speak at the meeting. The meeting will also include a presentation about proposed changes to building guidelines within one mile of Sound Transit’s planned Roosevelt Station. Green Lake Community Council Chairman Michael Cornell at forefront of group to recall McGinn
Green Lake Community Council Chairman and local Realtor Michael Cornell is at the forefront of a facebook group to ”Recall Mayor Mike McGinn.” While on News Talk 97.3 KIRO FM’s Dori Monson Show, Cornell described McGinn’s transportation policy as a “war waged on people who drive cars,” and said that McGinn started breaking promises as soon as he won the election.
