The Green Lake Chamber of Commerce is throwing a party on Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., at Trattoria Cioppino (7900 East Green Lake Dr N). The event will be in celebration of the group’s launch. The cost is $20 for Green Lake Chamber members and $25 for nonmembers. Food and drinks will be provided and the atmosphere will be social. 2012 Love ‘em or Leave ‘em Valentine’s Day Dash at Green Lake Park
Pro-Motion Events, Inc. has announced that the 2012 Love ‘em or Leave ‘em Valentine’s Day Dash at Green Lake Park will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012. This year’s event will support the Green Lake Chamber of Commerce. This will be the seventh year that the 5K run/walk is held at Green Lake. Over 3,300 people are expected to participate. The event includes a free kids’ dash for kids aged 10 and under and a post-race festival that includes free food, onsite exhibitors, an awards ceremony and a costume contest. Green Lake Chamber of Commerce adopts mission statement, elects officers
The Green Lake Chamber of Commerce, which first began meeting in February of this year, has officially adopted a mission statement: The Green Lake Chamber of Commerce is a friendly neighborhood network of Green Lake businesses focused on success, community involvement and mutual support. Bylaws have also been adopted and some officers have been elected. Jordan Malloch of Windermere Real Estate Green Lake will serve as the group’s first president and Caroline Sherman of Handy Admin holds the post of secretary. Green Lake Chamber of Commerce changes regular meeting time
The newly-formed Green Lake Chamber of Commerce has a new regular meeting time. The group now meets on the fourth Monday of every month at 7 p.m. The next meeting will be Monday, May 23, 2011. Meetings will now be held in the Board Room at The Hearthstone (6720 E Green Lake Way N). Previous meetings were in The Hearthstone’s Chapel. All Green Lake business owners are welcome to participate in the group, which held its first meeting on Feb. 22. Participating business owners are currently crafting by-laws.
