Two big fundraising yard sales tomorrow in Green Lake

There will be two large fundraiser yard sales in Green Lake tomorrow (Saturday, August 6, 2011).

The 70-member Seattle Flying Dragons dragon boat club is having its annual fundraiser yard sale tomorrow, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., at at 7349 West Green Lake Dr N, near the Bathhouse Theatre.

Special Bunny, a special-needs rabbit rescue, is also holding a large fundraiser yard sale tomorrow. The sale will be at Green Lake Way N & N 53rd St, across the street from Lower Woodland Park.

64-family yard sale in Green Lake next Saturday

My Green Lake tipster Bill wrote to let us know about a “gargantuan” yard sale coming to Green Lake next Saturday, August 7, 2010, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

64 families are participating in the annual fundraiser for the Seattle Flying Dragon Boat Club.

The yard sale will be at 7349 West Green Lake Dr N, near the Bathhouse Theatre, at a yellow house with a flag pole.

“All items for sale will be clean, working and gently used,” writes Bill. Items up for sale include:

Small and large appliances
Sports and exercise equipment
Tools, Books
CD’s and DVD’s
Collectibles
Glassware
Tables and chairs
Games and toys
Bicycles
Lamps
Mirrors
Cooking utensils and flatware
Clothes
Electronics

Green Lake and Wallingford Garage Sales & Open Houses November 28-29

Is it any surprise the map is so sparse this week? Perhaps the assumption is that everyone will be either shopped out or still sitting on their wallets. No garage sales, no rental showings, and only four open houses–one of which isn’t really in Green Lake or Wallingford. Here’s hoping for more to see next weekend.

Need furniture? Hit the garage sale (and it’s really in the garage so you’ll stay dry) Saturday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at 6404 Latona Ave NE. Cross the street to Cafe Lulu for a Mexican mocha and muffin beforehand and/or the Latona Pub for a celebratory beer afterwards.

House-wise, head down to Wallingford (2506 N 38th St) to see what 2.4 mil gets you these days. We dare you to say, “I like the Glulam Trusses, but I’m just not sure two media rooms is enough…”
