An Earth Day celebration was held last Sunday (April 22, 2012) on the west side of Green Lake Park, near the stump of a Big Leaf Maple tree that was cut down following a winter storm. The event was a fundraiser for a new bench at Green Lake Park dedicated to — and in part built from — the fallen tree. Volunteers trek beer From SODO to Green Lake to promote neighborhood walkability
Yesterday’s Earth Day celebration (Sunday, April 22, 2012) at the Latona Pub (6423 Latona Ave NE) was, by all accounts, a success. The Latona Pub held the event in partnership with Feet First, Two Beers Brewing Company and Immersus Tours. Earth Day celebration will raise funds for new Green Lake bench
An Earth Day celebration and fundraiser will be held tomorrow (Sunday, April 22, 2012), 1 p.m. – 4 p.m., at the stump of a Big Leaf Maple tree that was cut down following a winter storm. The stump, which has been decorated with flowers several times in recent months, is on the Green Lake path, roughly 1/4 mile north of the Aqua Theater (5900 West Green Lake Way N). Tomorrow’s event will raise money for a new park bench dedicated to — and in part built from — the fallen Big Leaf Maple.
