Visual poetry project at Daniel Bagley Elementary

By Erica Browne Grivas Visual poems are a perennial student art project at Daniel Bagley Elementary (7821 Stone Ave N). For this project, children create a self-portrait or a drawing built not with simple strokes and lines, but with words that support and relate to the picture. Daniel Bagley Elementary (7821 Stone Ave N) Physical Education Specialist Mr. Chuck Millsap has been selected by the Washington Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation & Dance (WAHPERD) as the 2011 Washington State Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the Year.
