NE Ravenna Blvd paving to begin next Monday

Crews working on the Seattle Department of Transportation’s (SDOT) project to repave NE Ravenna Blvd are scheduled to begin paving between E Green Lake Dr N and 8th Ave NE starting Monday, April 23, 2012. SDOT shares the following information: Crews will lay new asphalt surface along N.E. Ravenna Boulevard on the westbound lanes from N.E. 71st Street to Eighth Avenue N.E. beginning Monday, April 23. NE Ravenna Blvd grinding moves to opposite side of street tomorrow

Crews working on the Seattle Department of Transportation’s (SDOT) project to repave NE Ravenna Blvd between Green Lake and 15th Ave NE have completed grinding the existing pavement on the westbound side of the street between NE 71st St and 8th Ave NE. The crews will switch to the opposite side of Ravenna tomorrow (Friday, April 6, 2012), grinding the existing pavement on the eastbound side of the street. Low-cost life jacket and helmet sales at Green Lake’s Evans Pool

Seattle Parks and Recreation will sell low-cost life jackets and helmets one Saturday a month from May through September at Green Lake’s Evans Pool (7201 E Green Lake Dr N). Life jacket and helmet sales will be held from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on the following Saturdays: May 19, 2012 June 16, 2012 July 21, 2012 August 18, 2012 September 15, 2012 The life jackets are being offered by the Parks Department in partnership with Seattle Children’s Hospital, the Coast Guard Auxiliary and Mustang Survival. The cost is $20 for infant and youth sizes (all styles) and $30 for teen and adult sizes…

Parks Department prunes trees on NE Ravenna Blvd

The Seattle Parks tree crew began pruning median trees on NE Ravenna Blvd today (Friday, March 16, 2012). The pruning, which is being done to achieve 14’ street clearance, will be completed some time next week. Karen O’Connor, a spokesperson for Seattle Parks and Recreation, says that the SDOT Capital Projects and Roadway Structures Division recently requested the work in advance of the upcoming paving project on the street. NE Ravenna Blvd paving work begins next Monday

The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) will begin a paving project on NE Ravenna Blvd on Monday, March 19, 2012. The project, which should be complete by fall 2012, address the long-standing pothole problem on the street, as well as the wide pedestrian crossing at the intersection in front of the Green Lake Starbucks.
