Tangletown home’s new paint color to be decided by neighborhood vote

Green Canopy Homes, which is rebuilding a 1926 home at 2336 N 58th St, is asking the neighborhood to vote on the house’s color. The deadline for voting is Wednesday, May 2, 2012.  The Murphy & Dombrowski Real Estate Group plans to list the home this July.

Construction begins at Green Lake Village

Construction work at the former Vitamilk Dairy site, a three-acre empty lot of land often referred to by locals as “The Big Hole,” has begun. The property, located between Woodlawn Ave NE, NE 71st St, 5th Ave NE and NE 72nd St, has been a vacant pit for for four years. A large mixed-use development called “Green Lake Village” is being bult on the site. The expected opening date is Spring 2014. NE Ravenna Blvd paving to begin next Monday

Crews working on the Seattle Department of Transportation’s (SDOT) project to repave NE Ravenna Blvd are scheduled to begin paving between E Green Lake Dr N and 8th Ave NE starting Monday, April 23, 2012. SDOT shares the following information: Crews will lay new asphalt surface along N.E. Ravenna Boulevard on the westbound lanes from N.E. 71st Street to Eighth Avenue N.E. beginning Monday, April 23. NE Ravenna Blvd grinding moves to opposite side of street tomorrow

Crews working on the Seattle Department of Transportation’s (SDOT) project to repave NE Ravenna Blvd between Green Lake and 15th Ave NE have completed grinding the existing pavement on the westbound side of the street between NE 71st St and 8th Ave NE. The crews will switch to the opposite side of Ravenna tomorrow (Friday, April 6, 2012), grinding the existing pavement on the eastbound side of the street. Mayor visits Green Lake to provide update on City of Seattle’s efforts to improve streets
