A new event that combines running, walking and basketball is coming to Green Lake Park on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 10 a.m. The MVP Challenge 5K will raise funds for Andrew Moritz, former University of Washington Men’s Basketball player and former Seattle Storm practice squad player. There was a sudden flurry of activity on twitter last night (Friday, July 8, 2011) after a popular R&B singer tweeted that he was in Green Lake Park.
