Salon Lotus moving to Greenlake Pointe building, changing name to ‘Fringe Hair Salon’
Updated, March 20, 2011 North Green Lake’s Salon Lotus is moving. The salon, currently located across the street from Beth’s Cafe at 7216 Aurora Ave N, is moving to the ground floor of Greenlake Pointe Apartments, a couple of blocks east of Aurora at 1400 N 80th St. The building also houses Greenlake Wines + wine bar and Sound Pointe Real Estate. Salon Lotus will be making the move on April 28, 2011. Once it is relocated, the salon’s new name will be Fringe Hair Salon. Magic Magpie henna studio opens in east Green Lake
A second new henna studio has opened in east Green Lake. Magic Magpie Studio shares a storefront with Mehndi Madness at 6410 Latona Ave NE, the former location of Scratch Patch. Scratch Patch closed in December. Magic Magpie Studio is owned by henna artist Antoinette Hippe. Antoinette, who is also a painter, has paintings on display and available for sale in the shop. New henna shop opens in east Green Lake
A new henna studio has opened its doors in east Green Lake. Mehndi Madness is located at 6408 Latona Ave NE, the former location of Scratch Patch. Scratch Patch closed in December. The shop provides individual and group appointments, home parties, corporate events, and community events.
