The 2011 Stormin’ the Lake event brought the Seattle Storm to Green Lake Park this afternoon (Saturday, May 28, 2011). The free annual event is held at the the outdoor basketball court next to the Green Lake Community Center (7201 E Green Lake Dr N). The event gives fans the opportunity to hear from the Seattle Storm team and coaches for the first time in the season. Green Lake Community Center adult drop-in rates raised to $3
Adult drop-in rates at the Green Lake Community Center (7201 E Green Lake Dr N) are being raised by one dollar. Starting today (April 1, 2011), adults aged 18-65 must pay $3 to participate in drop-in basketball, volleyball, table tennis, and tai chi. Senior drop-in rates are still only $2. Children and teens under 18 do not pay drop-in fees for these activities. Seattle Storm President & CEO Karen Bryant is coming to Green Lake. Bryant will be walking the Green Lake loop this Sunday afternoon (June 27, 2010). Storm fans are invited to join her as she walks and listens to the Storm face Tulsa on KKNW 1150 AM.
