Seattle Canoe and Kayak Club plant liquidation tomorrow

The Seattle Canoe and Kayak Club (SCKC), which is located at the Green Lake Small Craft Center at the southwest corner of Green Lake (5900 West Green Lake Way N), is holding their annual plant liquidation tomorrow (Saturday, April 28, 2012), 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Floral and edible plant starts will be available at the Aqua Theater, located right next to the Small Craft Center. Donations made for the plants will benefit SCKC.

More than $500 raised on Earth Day for Big Leaf Maple bench

An Earth Day celebration was held last Sunday (April 22, 2012) on the west side of Green Lake Park, near the stump of a Big Leaf Maple tree that was cut down following a winter storm.
