Adult softball at Lower Woodland Park
In addition to men’s and women’s leagues, Seattle Parks and Recreation is now offering an adult Summer/Fall Co-ed Softball League on either Tuesdays or Thursdays at one of the Lower Woodland Park playfields. Games will take place at 6 p.m., 7:30 p.m. or 9 p.m. from August 14 – October 11, 2012. There will be a total of nine games. The two teams with the best records will receive trophies, and the first place team will also receive t-shirts. A fee of $835 is due at registration. Green Lake Small Craft Center restrooms closed for repairs and maintenance
The restrooms at the Green Lake Small Craft Center (5900 West Green Lake Way N) are temporarily closed. The closure is anticipated to last at least through the week of Monday, May 7, 2012. Seattle Parks and Recreation is repairing the restroom’s sewage pumps and doing some maintenance work. Porta-Potties are available at the site, and Green Lake Park’s three other public restrooms will remain open. These can be found on N 65th St., at the Green Lake Community Center, and at the wading pool, which is located on the north end of Green Lake Park at Wallingford Ave N & East Green Lake Dr N. For…
Seattle Canoe and Kayak Club plant liquidation tomorrow
The Seattle Canoe and Kayak Club (SCKC), which is located at the Green Lake Small Craft Center at the southwest corner of Green Lake (5900 West Green Lake Way N), is holding their annual plant liquidation tomorrow (Saturday, April 28, 2012), 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Floral and edible plant starts will be available at the Aqua Theater, located right next to the Small Craft Center. Donations made for the plants will benefit SCKC.

The Woodland Park Zoo (750 N 50th St) has announced the 2012 ZooTunes lineup.
