Have you seen this dog? Roxy, a 16-pound white whippet/jack russell terrier mix, escaped from her leash at the north end of Green Lake Park yesterday afternoon (Sunday, April 15, 2012). She was last seen in the blackberry bushes along the north side of Meridian Ave N & N 85th St,  across the street from Bishop Blanchet High School. Roxy has tan ears and a tan circle around her left eye. She is not wearing a collar but is microchipped. According to her owners, Roxy is very skittish and will run if chased. Resident shares objections to proposed new lighting and sound system at Bishop Blanchet

In November 2011, Bishop Blanchet High School (8200 Wallingford Ave N) submitted a Land Use Permit application which included a proposal for four new 70-foot field light poles and a new sound system. The school says the lights and sound system would be used at four or five football games a year. According to Lee Bruch, a neighbor of the school, the proposed changes to the school’s field would “essentially create a stadium.” “This will have severe detrimental effects on the immediate neighborhood and its residents,” Lee says. Lee asked us to share the following letter, which he sent to the Seattle Department of Planning & Development (DPD) yesterday…
