Green Lake resident warns motorcycle owners about attempted theft last night
We received the following note from Paul, a north Green Lake resident, earlier today (Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012): Somebody prowling the alleys last night made off with one of our motorcycle covers and damaged another one. I suspect they were trying to steal the bikes but our locks deterred them, for now. Time to get a bigger lock! If anyone knows info about similar crimes or finds a discarded moto cover laying around north GreenLake, let us know! And to any other moto owners, lock ‘em up! Every deterrent helps. FYI, the prowling happened in an alley near the playfields…

News from the Seattle Public Theater (SPT): There are still openings in Circus Skills for Actors, a mid-winter break theater camp for students in grades 3-5. The camp is being offered by the SPT Youth Program in partnership with Teatro Zinzanni. It will be held at the Green Lake Bathhouse (7312 West Green Lake Dr N) Feb. 21-25, 2012. The Seattle Public Theater (SPT) at the Green Lake Bathhouse (7312 West Green Lake Dr N) invites you to a free youth ensemble production of William Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Performances are scheduled for tonight (Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012) at 7 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. All youth shows are free; however donations to the youth scholarship fund are gladly appreciated. Directed by Artistic Associate Kelly Kitchens, the Seattle Public Theater Youth Program performs their adaptation of Shakespeare’s longest work, exploring themes of treachery and revenge.
