Seattle Police Department Crime Prevention Coordinator Terrie Johnston shares the following information: 1.        The North Precinct Burglary/Theft Unit continues to follow up on recent burglary arrests done by North Precinct patrol officers, and  due in some part to your watchfulness and good 9-1-1 calls.  The 19 year old serial occupied burglar and auto thief who was hitting the north end neighborhoods hard approx. 8 weeks ago has been charged with nearly 10 years.  He is in jail and won’t be released for a long time.  2.       A 39-year old, white female was arrested last week for multiple burglaries in the north end, some in which…

Creative Alliance for Growth, a local BNI Chapter that meets weekly in Green Lake, is looking for new members. The business networking group meets on Wednesdays, 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m., at The Hearthstone (6720 East Green Lake Way N). Members share information and referrals. Seattle City Council to host conversations on community priorities for the City budget

This May, the Seattle City Council is hosting three conversations about the City budget and community priorities. At the meetings, which will use the World Café format, participants will engage Seattle City Councilmembers and neighbors in conversation centered on five questions about the future of the city. Participants will also learn the basics of the Seattle City budget and about the choices faced by City policymakers. These conversations are not a formal public hearing and do not require extensive knowledge of City politics, policy or history.
