Lost black and white dog — UPDATE: This dog has returned home

A large, friendly, black and white dog has been lost in east Green Lake. He slipped out of his owners’ yard this afternoon (Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012) when a visitor failed to latch the gate. The missing dog has tags with his owners’ phone number: (206) 406-4335. Update, 10:30 p.m. This dog has returned home.

‘First Thursday Adventure Run’ returns to Green Lake

Green Lake’s Road Runner Sports (7020 Woodlawn Avenue NE) is starting up this season’s First Thursday Adventure Runs with a run on Thursday, March 1, 2012. The runs, which are free to participate in, begin at 6 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month (sign-in begins at 5 p.m.) through November. Construction of Green Lake Village to begin within days at “The Big Hole”

Construction work at the former Vitamilk Dairy site, a three-acre empty lot of land often referred to by locals as “The Big Hole,” will reportedly begin very soon. The property, located between Woodlawn Ave NE, NE 71st St, 5th Ave NE and NE 72nd St, has been a vacant pit for for four years. New 4-H robotics club for kids teaches engineering, science and math skills

A new 4-H club is offering kids a chance to explore engineering, science and math by building robots. The NeXT Minds Robotics 4-H Club meets in a variety of locations in northwest Seattle, including the Green Lake Branch Library (7364 E Green Lake Dr N).
