A large, friendly, black and white dog has been lost in east Green Lake. He slipped out of his owners’ yard this afternoon (Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012) when a visitor failed to latch the gate. The Seattle Met reports that Charlie’s Buns N’ Stuff is opening a concession stand on Green Lake. The stand will be located near West Green Lake Beach and will open in mid-April. The owner, Veronica Weaver, reportedly has a five-year contract with Seattle Parks and Recreation. Charlie’s Buns N’ Stuff is a food truck that offers American diner fare. Shooting victim dies [UPDATED]
A man who was found shot yesterday evening in Woodland Park has no brain activity, but is being kept alive on life support for possible organ donation, according to Casey McNerthney of seattlepi.com. The victim is “technically alive, but not expected to survive,” McNerthney says, adding that police are investigating the shooting as a homicide. No arrests have been made.
