The Friends of Green Lake (FOGL) will meet on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, 7-9 p.m., in the Board of Directors Room at The Hearthstone (6720 E Green Lake Way N).

FOGL President Gayle Garman provides the following information about the meeting:

We’ve not met for several months, so this meeting will be a time to catch-up and to plan for spring and summer activities including:

  • continuing FOGL volunteer monitoring of Green Lake water quality and algae,
  • planning spring work parties for maintenance of shoreline habitat restoration sites,
  • educational booths at cross-lake swim and milk carton boat races, and
  • our monthly bird walks.

This is also a good time to propose new ideas and initiatives.

FOGL is an IRS certified 501(c)3 non-profit environmental and educational association of volunteers. All meetings are open to the public. There aren’t any dues, but our activities depend upon the interests and commitment of our volunteers. We need some new members to help with planning and administration. If you can’t join us join us on Tuesday, you can provide your ideas and thoughts by email to the website.
