Rhett Russell, the new co-owner of Ben & Jerry’s Green Lake Scoop Shop (7900 E Green Lake Dr N), sent us the following update:
We are officially open today! woo hoo!
Our store hours are:
Monday thru Thursday: Noon to 9:00 PM
Friday & Saturday: 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM
Sunday: 12:00 AM to 9:00 PMWe are having a special for Stephen Colbert’s 5th anniversary of his ice cream flavor “Americone Dream” Free scoops of this on February 14th from 5-8 PM. Also launching the “Get the dough out of politics” campaign to try to get an amendment to the constitution (yes this is a big deal) to limit the amount of money in political campaigns.
We are going to be doing FREE CONE DAY on April 3rd from noon to 8:00 PM.
The ice cream is free but we are accepting donations for the Washington State Patrol Memorial Foundation (WSPMF). WSPMF is a non-profit organization — they preserve the memory of Washington State Patrol fallen officers and provide assistance to active and retired Washington State Patrol employees and their families in times of need. We greatly appreciate the support and donations to this worthwhile organization.
One last thing. We just got back from our annual franchise meeting where we partnered with the US embassy and the Bahamian government to rehabilitate a park and a school in Nassau, Bahamas.
We are in the second to last picture of this story, painting the swing set! We took all of our management staff down to do good with ice cream.
