This spring, the Green Lake Branch Library (7364 E Green Lake Dr N) will once again host a “Bikes for Books” reading program for kids in first through third grades. Children are invited to read books for a chance to win a bike.

Participants are allowed to enter their names for the drawing once for every ten books they read between Thursday, March 1 and Monday, May 21, 2012. Each entry will require a short oral book report to to a librarian on one book. One girl and one boy each will win a bicycle, helmet and lock.

A celebration and prize drawing will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 21 at the Green Lake Library. Winners must be present to win. Certificates of accomplishment will be presented to all participants.

“Bikes for Books” is funded by the Green Lake Masonic Lodge #149.
