A residential water service line at 5th Ave NE & NE 63rd St broke last night (Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012). The line has now been fixed.
Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) says that there may be brown or yellow coloration in the water on 5th Ave NE between N 60th and N 65th until later in the afternoon today.
If your water is brown with sediment or the pressure is intermittent, SPU recommends that you do not drink the water until it is clear again. To avoid drawing sediment into the hot water heater, do not run hot water. Running cold water will help clear the sediment.
For more information, contact SPU at (206) 684-3000.
Thanks for the tip, Ben.
