We received the following note this afternoon (Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011) from Kelly: I found a lost dog today at about 12:30pm at the corner of Linden and 85th. He was wearing a red collar and is white/black/brown, small and fluffy. If anyone is looking for their lost dog, they may contact me at 443/995-8798.

Register now for Green Lake Crew
Registration is open for spring season rowing with Green Lake Crew. The season runs Jan. 30-May 21, 2012. There are courses for experienced boys and girls, novice boys and girls, and beginning/intermediate/competitive adults. Class registration is through the Seattle Parks Department’s SPARC system. The Green Lake Crew operates out of the Green Lake Small Craft Center (5900 W Green Lake Way N) and hosts the Green Lake Spring Regatta, the Summer Rowing Regatta, and the Frostbite Regatta every year. Tips about holiday waste and recycling from Seattle Public Utilities
Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) shared some tips today (Monday, Dec. 12, 2011) about holiday waste and recycling. Seattle residents can always recycle as much as they want at no extra charge: Simply put additional recyclables in sturdy bins or boxes next to your recycling cart on your regular collection day. Remember to flatten empty cardboard boxes and do not put recyclables inside of bags. Carts need to be put out by 7 am on collection day. Green Lake kids dance in ‘Nutcracker’
Two Green Lake kids are in this year’s production of the Pacific Northwest Ballet’s Nutcracker. Annika Greening is dancing in the role of Teenager and Emily Doak is dancing in the role of Baby Mouse: Performances of Nutcracker are running through Tuesday, Dec 27, 2011 at Seattle Center’s Marion Oliver McCaw Hall.
