The Seattle Public Theater (SPT) at the Green Lake Bathhouse (7312 West Green Lake Dr N) presents two holiday shows this season: The Best Christmas Pageant Ever by Barbara Robinson and Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol by Tom Mula.

JACOB MARLEY’S CHRISTMAS CAROL

“Marley was dead to begin with…”  And what happens after that?  In this irreverent, funny and moving show, Marley has a chance to escape his own chains by redeeming Scrooge’s heart in 24 hours.  In the process, he just might find his own.  Described as a “charming, behind-the scenes version of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol,” the show is directed by SPT Managing Director Keith Dahlgren and stars Jim Lapan, Evan Whitfield, Pam Nolte, and Patrick Lennon.  Marley is perfect for a sweet ending to a holiday night out.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER sponsored by Seattle Children’s Hospital

It’s not a holiday season without SPT’s production of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.  This heart-warming, holiday staple, running since 2001, has performed to sold-out crowds each holiday season at the Bathhouse Theater on Green Lake.  Under the direction of Artistic and Education Director Shana Bestock, the infamous Herdman kids will take over the church pageant and challenge everyone’s traditional notions of Christmas.  See how a story can transform us all, even when told by a misfit group of kids in bed sheets.  For small and tall elves alike, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is a sure-fire hit for the holidays.
