Seattle Peace Chorus to perform ‘We are All Immigrants’ at Green Lake United Methodist Church

There will be two Seattle Peace Chorus concerts at Green Lake United Methodist Church (6415 1st Ave NE) this weekend. We are All Immigrants is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $17 in advance, through Brown Paper Tickets, and $20 at the door. Community meeting planned as paving work on Linden Ave N starts

Paving crews from the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) plan to pave Linden Ave N from Winona Ave N to N 66th St this week. The project begins Monday, Nov. 14 and will run through Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, weather permitting. The crews will work from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The street will remain open to traffic, but the lanes will be shifted to one side.  On-street parking will be restricted. Crosswalks and sidewalks will remain open. Doug Bambrick, who has been a long-time advocate for a “road diet” on Linden Ave N, is hosting a community meeting about the street early this week. Seattle Area German American School offers new classes for children

The Seattle Area German American (SAGA) School has announced its next block of afternoon enrichment classes. The school is located in the John Marshall High School building (520 NE Ravenna Blvd).
