Collision on Woodlawn and 54th

Updated Friday, 7 a.m. Two vehicles collided on Woodlawn Ave N & N 54th St earlier this evening (Thursday, October 13, 2011). According to a Seattle Police Report, police investigated the crash shortly after 6:30 p.m. The Seattle Fire Department’s 911 Dispatch logs do not indicate that an emergency response was sent by the city to the scene. Free fall events at Green Lake’s Evans Pool

Evans Pool (7201 E Green Lake Dr N) is celebrating the fall season with two free events: The Fall Pumpkin Swim will be on Friday, October 28, 2011, 7 p.m. – 8 p.m. There will be games, prizes, and pumpkins in the pool. All ages are welcome, but children under six must be accompanied in the water by an adult who is within arm’s reach. On Saturday, October 29, 2011, 12 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., there will be an all-ages harvest potluck on the pool deck. Community members are invited to bring a dish to share with their neighbors and pool staff.

Seattle Tibetan Youth Congress to hold vigil at Green Lake Park tonight

The Seattle Tibetan Youth Congress is holding a candle vigil at 5 p.m. this evening (Wednesday, October 12, 2011) at Green Lake Park. The event is taking place at the southwest corner of Green Lake (5900 West Green Lake Way N), near the Aqua Theater and the Green Lake Small Craft Center.
