Seattle Public Utilities announced today that next week’s trash pickups at residences in Northwest Seattle will be early.

Residential solid waste customers should put  their trash, recycling, and food and yard waste carts by 6 a.m. instead of 7 a.m. on their normal pickup day next week (Monday, October 24 – Friday, October 28). Customers are encouraged to set out their carts the night before.

The earlier pickup time is in response to the closure of the Alaskan Way Viaduct. The nine-day closure begins Friday, October 21.

If your garbage, yard waste or recycling collection is missed, you can report it after 6 p.m. on the day it was missed by calling (206) 684-3000 or by visiting seattle.gov/util.
