This Saturday in Green Lake: Free skateboarding lessons, parties at Skinlogic and Sugarcomb, Light the Night Walk

Tomorrow (Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011) will be a busy day in the Green Lake neighborhood:

Skate Like a Girl, a local program that empowers youth through skateboarding activities, is offering free skateboarding lessons to youth aged twelve and younger at the Lower Woodland Skatepark,  10 a.m. – 12 p.m. [more info]

Skinlogic Skin Center (a My Green Lake advertiser)  is hosting a 10-Year Anniversary Party. Doors open at 9 a.m. for a pre-sale, and the main event will be 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. [more info]

Sugarcomb Hair Salon is hosting a fashion show and fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.,  6 p.m. -9 p.m. [more info]

The annual Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk begins at 7 p.m. at Green Lake Park. [more info]

Wells Fargo, a sponsor of the Light the Night Walk, will be bringing a historical stagecoach to Green Lake Park for the event. Participants will be able to sit inside.

    Green Lake would be a much better place if they got rid of those stupid skateboards!  They disturb walkers and make too much noise!
