A free hour-long civic skills training will be held at the the Green Lake Branch Library (7364 E Green Lake Dr N) on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. The training is offered by the Seattle Free School and Knowledge As Power. Knowledge As Power is a nonpartisan nonprofit focused on helping citizens engage more effectively in the lawmaking process. We received tips today about three different incidents that took place last night (Friday, Sept. 23, 2011) in the Green Lake neighborhood. Lisa wrote to say that she was eating dinner at the Greenlake Bar & Grill (7200 E Green Lake Drive N) when she witnessed a man steal a cell phone.
