Green Lake’s Dry Cleaning Station (7404 Aurora Ave N) has closed. Yesterday (Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011), customers’ items that had been left at Dry Cleaning Station were moved to Dry Cleaning Solutions, in Burien (15712 1st Ave S). Dry Cleaning Solutions is open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. The shop can be reached at (206) 243-9400. According to Dry Cleaning Station customer Chris Cerman, no advance notice was given to customers that their belongings were being moved more than 16 miles south of where they were originally dropped off for cleaning. Two cars crash head-on, closing Green Lake Way in both directions
At 9:23 p.m. this evening (Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011), we received a tip from a woman who identified herself as “Heidi” about a car crash on Green Lake Way near the Green Lake Pitch and Putt golf course. Heidi reported that both directions of Green Lake Way N were closed to traffic due to the incident, which involved two cars that crashed head-on. 9-1-1 dispatch records confirm that a fire engine was sent to 5700 East Green Lake Way N at 9:06 p.m. Another fire engine and a medic were dispatched six minutes later.
