WAHGL is planning casual weekly meet-ups at Zoka Coffee Roaster & Tea House in Tangletown (2200 N 56th St). The first meet-up will be tomorrow morning (Thursday, September 1, 2011). Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine to move to Green Lake
The Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine (SIOM) is moving to Green Lake from its current location at 916 NE 65th St, in the Roosevelt neighborhood. The institute’s main clinic and administrative offices will soon be in the Ravenna Office Building (444 NE Ravenna Blvd). Classes and the low-cost community clinic will be held a block north, on the second floor of the John Marshall High School building (520 NE Ravenna Blvd). GeekGirlCONcert planned for Green Lake
GeekGirlCon is kicking off their first annual convention with a GeekGirlCONcert at The Great Hall at Green Lake (7220 Woodlawn Ave NE) on Friday, October 7, 2011. The concert will feature Marian Call, Molly Lewis and the Doubleclicks. Green Lake Community Center preschool program now enrolling 3-5-year-olds for fall classes
The Green Lake Community Center‘s “Preschool Frogs” program (7201 E Green Lake Dr N) is now enrolling students for the fall preschool program. The program starts Wednesday, September 7, 2011. The Green Lake Community Center’s preschool program is offered on a monthly basis to children aged 3-5. Morning (10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m) and afternoon (1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.) classes are available. Cafe Bonjour remodels and adds organic pastries to menu
Cafe Bonjour (7119 Woodlawn Ave NE) shares a bit of news: The east Green Lake cafe has redesigned their space. The seating area features soft pillow sofas and a chaise lounge, and the kids’ area now has sofas as well. The cafe has added organic pastries from Belltown’s Boulangerie Nantaise Organic French Bakery to their menu, which also features sandwiches, salads, and savory and sweet crepes.
