The Seattle Department of Transportation says that SDOT paving crews are working on two blocks of Woodlawn Ave NE, between 4th Ave NE and NE Ravenna Blvd.
Crews are grinding off the old pavement and then laying new asphalt. They are working from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Traffic flaggers are assisting drivers through the area, but SDOT says that through traffic should seek an alternate route to avoid congestion and delays.

Do they estimate how long it will take?
No word yet on the estimated completion date — I’ll be sure to update this post if I hear anything!

I didn’t know this was going on when biked through there with my child on-board during yesterday morning’s commute. Flaggers were helpful and courteous as we rode cautiously over the rough pavement. The delay wasn’t a big deal, and I’ll be glad to see that poor pavement replaced.
