The Olympic Brass Ensemble is holding three free outdoor performances at Green Lake Park this August.

Rona Sass, who plays trumpet with the group, says that the concerts are very informal, “featuring whatever we feel like playing, from Bach to Gershwin.”

The concerts will be 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. on Mondays, August 1, 15 and 29, 2011. They will be at the north end of Green Lake Park, near the wading pool, which is near the intersection of Wallingford Ave N & E Green Lake Dr N.  Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and snacks.

The concerts will be canceled in case of rain. Updates will be posted on the Olympic Brass Ensemble’s Facebook page.

The group performed to rave reviews this past Monday at the park, and they also do a concert series during the year at Green Lake’s Bethany Lutheran Church (7400 Woodlawn Ave NE).
