Several north Green Lake residents reported seeing a large police response to the area surrounding N 80th St and Sunnyside Ave N this morning. One described the scene as ”a huge caravan of police, including a SWAT truck with an officer and a large gun pointed out the top.”

According to Detective Mark Jamieson, the police were serving a search warrant on two locations in north Seattle: the 9200 block of Densmore Ave N and the 8000 block of Sunnyside Ave N. Officers arrived just before 7 a.m., he said, and as of 9:30 a.m. were either gone from the scene or expected to leave soon.

“It’s all wrapped up now and everything went fine,” Det. Jamieson says. He reports that one person is in custody.

Isn’t that where the ‘abducted’ girl was let go?

    • Thanks for the comment and question, nettieboop. This incident is actually about 8 blocks from where the young woman was left by her abductors. She was left in the 7900 block of Densmore Ave N.
