A burglary suspect was arrested this morning (Monday, June 13, 2011) in the 2300 block of N 63rd St.
At 9:15 a.m. this morning, North Precinct officers responded to a report of a possible burglary in progress at a residence on N 63rd St. Detective Mark Jamieson says that officers got a good suspect description from witnesses, which was then broadcast over the police radio.
A 25-year-old male suspect was stopped in the alley behind the residence, according to Detective Jamieson. The suspect was taken into custody after he was positively identified by witnesses. He was later booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Burglary.
“It appears that the suspect may have burglarized three or four houses in the neighborhood,” Detective Jamieson says. “Some of the houses were occupied, one was not. Detectives from the North Precinct also responded [to those burglaries] and are handling the follow up investigation.”
