The West Green Lake Beach is located at 7312 W Green Lake Dr N and the East Green Lake Beach is at 7201 E Green Lake Dr N. Free “Hands-On Henna” program at the Green Lake Library
There will be a free henna program at the Green Lake Library (7364 E Green Lake Dr N) on Saturday, June 4, 2011, 1 – 2:30 p.m. Artist Krysteen Lomonaco, owner of Mehndi Madness in east Green Lake, will be leading the program. “Hands-On Henna” is open to kids and teens aged 10 and up and is limited to 30 people. Coming soon to east Green Lake: Little Explorers School
A new preschool is opening soon in the old John Marshall High School building (520 NE Ravenna Blvd). Cindy and Jared Vandegrift are opening Little Explorers School in the building’s former faculty room on the ground floor. The space will be comprised of one main room, two small rooms and a bathroom. The Little Explorers Preschool Program will be offered Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., beginning September 2011. There will be three enrollment options: five days per week (Monday – Friday), three days per week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), and two days per week (Tuesday and Thursday).
