2011 Spring classes at The Center at St. Andrew’s

The Center at St. Andrew’s (111 NE 80th St) is offering several classes this spring. All are welcome.

How Can We Sing A New Song?
St. Andrew’s Rector Peter Strimer and Music Director Michael Cooley offer this class focusing on music and the life of the church. $50. Class offered Wednesdays, May 4-Jun 1 , 7-8:30 pm.

 

Who Am I? Spiritual Autobiography and Identity
The Center Program Director Cherry Haisten will facilitate this exploration of spirituality and identity. The class will include prayer, reflection, journal exercises, and sharing. Bring excerpts from your favorite spiritual autobiographies to share. $50. Class offered Wednesdays, May 4-Jun 1 , 7-8:30 pm.

 

Gentle Yoga For Seniors and Others
$70. Class offered Wednesdays, May 4-Jul 6, 11am-12pm.

 

Centering Prayer Introductory Workshop
Covers the basics of the Method of Centering Prayer and the concept of prayer as relationship, Includes two periods of Centering Prayer and plenty of time for questions and exploration of next steps. Cherry Haisten presenting. $40. Workshop offered Saturday, May 7, 9am-1pm.
