The Bellevue Reporter is reporting that a Bellevue man drove his car off the NE 80th St overpass and landed on southbound I-5 after hitting a tree. The incident happened at approximately 2 a.m. this morning (Tuesday, April 26, 2011). The driver of the vehicle may have been surprised by an oncoming vehicle and overreacted, causing the car to plow through a small fence into a grassy embankment, the Bellevue Reporter cites WSP Trooper Julie Startup as saying. ”He came down from the hillside through the grass and was vaulted somewhat, and he basically came back down to earth in lane one,”…

This afternoon, as I was leaving for yoga, I watched the AmazonFresh delivery truck come down my street to deliver my weekly groceries. As he pulled up to my house, I heard a crackle crackle crackle as he drove the backend of his truck into the backend of my car. Green Lake’s new Irwin’s Bakery and Cafe is on track to open by Mother’s Day

Owner Linda Fecher tells us that she is hoping for a grand-opening celebration on Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 8, 2011), with free treats for moms. A soft opening will precede that sometime in early May. The bakery and cafe will be located at 301 NE 65th St, across the street from Latona Pub, Mona’s Bistro and Lounge, Cafe Lulu, and Krittika Noodles & Thai Cuisine.
