Last Saturday (April 16, 2011), the Intiman Theatre announced that, due to financial and operational instability, it would close for the rest of the season. (You can read more about the cancellation of the season on The SunBreak.)

On Wednesday, the Intiman announced that 2011 season subscribers holding tickets to the four canceled productions in 2011 will be able to exchange their remaining tickets at several performing arts organizations, including Green Lake’s Seattle Public Theater (7312 West Green Lake Dr N).

“In the three days following the announcement of Intiman’s 2011 season closure,” a press release from the Intiman reads, “17 organizations rallied to present a universal offer to Intiman subscribers, ensuring that their patrons are able to enjoy a variety of performances options.” Each Intiman subscriber will get a detailed message relaying the agreed upon terms for redemption.

“This illustrates the camaraderie and collaboration that makes the Seattle arts community unique. On behalf of everyone at Intiman, I express my deepest gratitude to the arts leaders who have graciously offered to accept our patrons at their performances,” Intiman Board President Bruce Bradburn was quoted as saying in the press release.

A full list of participating organizations honoring Intiman subscribers’ tickets can be found at intiman.org.
