The Greenlake Boathouse, which rents boats and stand-up paddle (SUP) boards for use on Green Lake, is opening for the season tomorrow (Saturday, April 23, 2011).
The boathouse will be open this Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., and daily after that, weather permitting.
Starting Memorial Day weekend, the boathouse will be open seven days a week through the end of August. In September, it is open on weekends only, and it is closed October through March.
The Greenlake Boathouse is located near East Green Lake Beach, at 7351 E Green Lake Dr N.
Kayaks, canoes, pedal boats, row boats, and stand-up paddle boards are available for $15/hour, and sailboats are $20/hour. You can see the available boats in real-time on a webcam on the Greenlake Boathouse website.
In addition to boat rentals, the boathouse offers a walk-up cafe, open year-round.
