On-street parking rates in Green Lake will soon be decreased to $1/hour
Update, April 4, 2011: Revolutions Espresso (7012 Woodlawn Ave NE) reports that the new $1/hr rate is now in effect. ____ Parking rates in the east Green Lake business district will soon be reduced. Currently, it costs shoppers and visitors $1.50/hour to use Green Lake’s 118 paid on-street parking spaces. That rate is scheduled to decrease to $1/hour in early April 2011, according to Margo Polley, Strategic Advisor in the Parking Operations and Traffic Permits Section of the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT). Black and white dog found at Green Lake Park
John Usky, the General Manager of the Greenlake Boathouse (7351 E Green Lake Dr N), found a dog today (Wednesday, March 23, 2011) around 3 p.m. at the Greenlake Boathouse, a boat rental shop and espresso stand on the northeast side of Green Lake. The dog is a male Springer Spaniel / Lab mix. He is an older dog with a black collar and no tags. Mayor McGinn wants to hear your neighborhood and public transportation safety concerns
Today (Wednesday, March 23, 2011) Mayor Mike McGinn announced a new tool to gather input on public safety from Seattle residents. According to a news release sent from the Office of the Mayor, the online survey, drafted by a team of graduate students at the Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington, will help determine residents’ primary public safety concerns in their own neighborhoods and on public transportation. To celebrate, we are sharing this never-before-published photograph of a sunny day at Green Lake, circa 1918: This historical view of of Green Lake comes to us from the personal collection of My Green Lake reader Nancy Johnson.
