Two organizations are offering fly casting classes this spring at Green Lake Park.
All classes will be held at Green Lake’s casting pier. The casting pier, also called the fishing pier, can be found on the northwest shore of Green Lake, just west of the Bathhouse Theater.
The Northwest Fly Anglers Intro to Fly Casting class begins Tuesday, April 5, 2011 and runs 8 weeks, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuition is $40 and fly rods, reels, and lines are provided. Find more information here and contact Peg or Bill Van Natter at (425) 486-5011 or slowsnap [at] att.net to register.
The Washington Fly Fishing Club offers a six-week class for beginners, beginning Thursday, April 7 at 6:30 p.m., and a four-week advanced class, beginning Wednesday, April 6 at 6:30 p.m. The beginners’ class costs $45 per person and the advanced class costs $50 per person.
