The world premier of “Art Chix” will be this Saturday (April 2, 2011), 6-9 p.m., at Cafe Lulu (6417 Latona Ave NE).
Artists Nancy Jenkins, Leah Kaufman, Dana Nunnelly, Roseanne Olson, Cary Pillo, Anna Rhodes, D. Lisa West, and Sheryl Westergren will be showing their work, which is currently on display on the walls of Cafe Lulu.
The Art Chix are eight women who meet every six weeks to share creative projects. “We choose a theme and then make something–a painting, song, print, poem, story, quilt or some other expression–to share,” their website explains. “Our evening starts with dinner, including lovely wine, and continues to showing our art. We all discuss our inspiration, process and feelings about the results.”
