The Book Club of Washington is conducting a free workshop at at the Green Lake Library (7364 E Green Lake Dr N) on Saturday, March 12, 2011, 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

All are welcome at the workshop, which is for book collectors. Ten members of the Book Club of Washington will be presenting four sessions, addressing the following questions:

1. Have I put together a book collection or just a library?

2. Am I in control of my book collection or is it controlling me?

3. How can I avoid regret (“I wish I had [not] bought that book”)?

4. I’d like to sharpen the focus of my collection. Does a narrow focus require specialized resources?

5. Am I keeping adequate records?

6. Should I reback? recase? rebind? replace pages? do nothing?

7. Do I need special insurance or is homeowner’s enough?

8. How do I track the market?

9. What tools do the professionals use?

10. Is it time to think about saying good-bye?
