Attempted burglary at Bethany Lutheran Church interrupted by homeless shelter resident
Pastor Dennis Andersen of Bethany Lutheran Church (7400 Woodlawn Ave NE) wrote to us tonight (Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011) about an attempted burglary at the church. According to a police report, the incident happened around 3 a.m. last Thursday morning (Jan 13, 2011). Bethany Lutheran Church has been home to SHARE, a homeless shelter, since July 2010, following a tense community meeting held by the church (read more about the meeting here). According to a recent blog post written by Seattle City Councilmember Sally Bagshaw, these swings are “universally accessible” equipment.
